Matt cut his teeth in London’s Michelin-starred kitchens under the likes of Marcus Wareing - and locally, at La Colombe - before embarking on a career as a private chef. Grub & Vine is Matt's first restaurant.

Sous Chef

Esteve previously worked at Tom Aikens in the UK and at D.O.M. in Brazil, one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, before joining Grub & Vine.

Keize Mumba

Sommelier

Keize previously occupied the role of Assistant Sommelier at Azure Restaurant and 12 Apostles Hotel and Spa before joining Grub & Vine. Keize has completed his WSET levels 1, 2 and 3, and is currently studying towards his Level 4 Diploma.

Reservations

At Grub & Vine we encourage you to make a reservation. However, we do welcome walk-ins and if we can't seat you immediately, you can enjoy a drink or two at our neighbours; Froggit & Vonkel.

Opening Times
Grub & Vine is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday - Friday. On Saturdays we open from 16:30 until 21:00.

Private Dining Room
Our private dining room consists of a 16 seater communal dining table, a private bar and a cosy courtyard. Contact us directly to book for your special lunch or dinner.

Dietary Requests
At Grub & Vine we offer a small, seasonal menu. If you have any dietary requests, please inform us at the time of your booking and it will be our pleasure to accommodate you.

Booking Policy
For dinner reservations, a deposit of R150 per guest is required for tables of 6 or more, to secure your table. Should you wish to cancel your booking you must do so 24 hours prior to your reservation, otherwise we regret that we cannot offer a refund on the deposit.

Gratuity
A 12.5% service charge is added to tables of 6 or more.

Bookings are essential to avoid disappointment.
